Sang Sik Hong is a Korean artist who has created large-scale art pieces by arranging thousands of drinking straws. The installations are a comment on power, human desire, and sex. It’s difficult to tell that they are made from common, cheap, flimsy, and disposable drinking straws without looking very closely.
The installation consists of several separate art pieces depicting eyes, lips, and hands.
The artist is a Mokwon University graduate and the work is currently on display at the Scope Art Fair in Miami, Florida.
